Our Story
Your Disney Retreat was born from a simple idea: families visiting Walt Disney World deserve more than a cramped hotel room. They deserve a real home — with a private pool, a full kitchen, spacious bedrooms, and all the comforts that make a vacation truly relaxing.
We're Shelley and Holland, and we own and care for both of our homes ourselves — a lakefront pool-and-spa home in Kissimmee's gated Sunset Lakes community and a golf-course pool home in Fairways Lake Estates at Polo Park East, Davenport. Hi, we're Shelley and Holland. Florida isn't a vacation stop for us — it's home. We live the relaxed Florida life year-round: sunshine, straw hats, slow mornings by the water, and the parks just down the road.
We built our two vacation homes around that same feeling. Every detail — from the heated pools to the stocked kitchens — is something we chose ourselves, because these are our homes, not listings in a portfolio. When guests tell us their week at “Holland's place” was the best part of their Disney trip, that's the whole reason we do this.
