The golf course is the point
Fairways Lake Estates is built around the Polo Park East executive nine-hole course, and our home backs directly onto it with no rear neighbors. That is not a marketing line about a distant view. The fairway starts at the edge of the pool screen, which means the back of the house looks out over open green space instead of somebody else's lanai.
A cart for nine holes runs about $26.75, so golf here is a spontaneous before-breakfast decision rather than a planned expedition. An executive course is shorter than a championship layout, which in practice makes it far friendlier to beginners, rusty holidaymakers and teenagers who have never held a club.
Lake Davenport and the rest of the community
The community has a fishing pier and a boat ramp on Lake Davenport, plus tennis and basketball courts and a community pool. The lake is a genuine amenity rather than a retention pond, and it is the reason a morning paddle or an evening on the water is possible without loading anything into the car.
The area around Davenport 33897 is residential and quiet, and it is worth being precise about where it actually is. This is Four Corners, the unincorporated area where Polk, Lake, Orange and Osceola counties meet at US-27 and US-192. Davenport is a big postal area and some of it is a long way from the parks. Four Corners is the closest part of it, which is why this home is fourteen minutes from Disney rather than the half hour a Davenport address might lead you to expect.
Our home here
Your Disney Retreat on the Fairway Green is a four-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom house sleeping eight, with a private screened pool that can be heated year-round for an additional fee. The layout is open with high ceilings, the master suite is on the main floor with a walk-in closet and a separate soaking tub and shower, and three further bedrooms sit upstairs with a full bathroom.
A screened pool matters in Florida more than the brochures admit. It is the difference between sitting outside at dusk and going indoors.

Measured on Google Maps from each home's street address, fastest route, August 2026. Off-peak times; traffic on I-4 and around the parks will add to these. Our Kissimmee home is a few minutes closer to every one of these, and 2.1 miles away from this one. See the full drive-time table.
Who it suits
Golfers, obviously. Also anyone who wants a lake they can put a boat on, and guests who would rather trade four minutes of Disney drive time for open green space and no rear neighbors. If being as close as possible to Disney is the single deciding factor, our Kissimmee home in Sunset Lakes wins on that one measure.
Still deciding?
We own homes in both areas, so we have no reason to push you toward either one.
